MiniSite Layout 01

Step 1

Open up a new document 800x800px. Fill the background with a gradient from #151a1e to #273038 at the top.




Step 2

Create a new layer named 'main bg', make a selection of 450x500 and add a gradient from #273038 to #151a1e at the bottom of your selection. Apply an Outer Glow and a stroke.




Step 3

Make a new layer named 'links bg' and make a selection 450x40px at the top of your main content, now apply a gradient from #50606f to #101010. Make another layer named 'links bg shine' and make a selection 450x25px at the top of your 'links bg' layer, fill the selection with #ffffff, and lower the opacity of the layer to 10%. Add some text for the links I have used Tahoma, Bold, 11pt, None, #c8d2da.




Step 4

Create a new layer named 'banner bg' and make a selection of 450x100px under the navigation, now fill with #181a1a. Add an assortment of different brushes on different layers (I have 2 different layers, the first brush layer's Blending Mode is set to Overlay, the second brush layer's Blending Mode is set to Normal, and the opacity is at 63%. Now make yet another new layer and name it 'banner bg strokes' and add some 10px high lines (#080808) above and below the 'banner bg' layer. Now add some text for your banner, I used Tschich, Regular, 30pt, Strong, #c8d2da.




Step 5

Finally you just need to add some fill-in text and images and you are done! Check out the .psd if you want to use the same fonts and colours.
